Job description
RBL's operational activities are moving into Emirates NBD's Group Operations operating model, and this Manager leads the Operations integration workstream that makes that transition work. Scope covers back-office processes, servicing, fulfilment, reconciliations, settlements, disputes, complaints, exception handling, workflow queues and shared services. Planning comes first, with migration waves, readiness gates, cutover approach, risks and dependencies set out against the Group Operations target operating model. SOPs, SLAs, approval matrices and maker-checker controls then need harmonising across RBL and ENBD before anything moves. Cutover and hypercare follow, supported by playbooks, runbooks and knowledge transfer plans. After migration, attention turns to stabilisation, tracking TAT, SLA adherence, backlog ageing, incidents and customer impact until BAU is steady. Governance holds it together through RAID logs, decision logs, readiness dashboards and concise executive status packs, with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Products all closely involved. You'll need 8+ years of experience, including 3+ in banking operations and at least 1 year leading large transformation or M&A integration programs, and a consultancy background is preferred. Power BI, Jira, TOM design, STP and process re-engineering should all be familiar territory.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Develop and govern the Operations integration plan covering scope, milestones, migration waves, readiness criteria, cutover approach, risks and dependencies
- Translate the enterprise integration strategy into an actionable plan aligned to the Group Operations target operating model
- Coordinate current-state and target-state assessments across servicing, fulfilment, reconciliations, settlements, disputes, complaints and exception handling
- Define future-state roles, SLAs, handoffs, control checkpoints, reporting routines and governance cadence
- Map end-to-end operational flows, queue ownership, maker-checker controls, reconciliation points and escalation paths across RBL and ENBD
- Harmonise SOPs, SLAs, approval matrices, operational controls and service standards for migrating activities
- Identify duplication, control gaps, manual touchpoints and service risks, assigning remediation actions to accountable owners
- Plan migration waves, readiness gates, training requirements, resource assumptions and stabilisation success criteria
- Maintain migration playbooks, cutover checklists, runbooks and knowledge transfer plans
- Track the transition of people, processes, data, controls, queues, reporting and system access to BAU readiness
- Run operational cutover and hypercare, ensuring issues are logged, prioritised, resolved and escalated
- Monitor TAT, SLA adherence, error rates, backlog ageing, incidents, customer impact and control effectiveness through transition and stabilisation
- Drive post-migration stabilisation through root-cause resolution, process fixes, workforce alignment and automation
- Establish integration governance routines, readiness forums and issue-escalation mechanisms
- Prepare concise executive updates on milestones, readiness, service impact, control status, key risks and required decisions
- Facilitate working groups to resolve cross-functional dependencies, delivery blockers, policy exceptions and cutover risks
- Validate system readiness, user access, workflow configuration and reporting requirements with Technology and Operations
- Convert operational gap findings into remediation plans, automation requirements and control enhancements
