Job description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented UI/UX Developer with hands-on expertise in the Unily digital experience platform. This role is critical in creating seamless digital environments by designing and developing engaging pages and custom components within Unily. The successful candidate will work closely with business units, Marketing Communications, and technical teams to deliver optimized user experiences, particularly focusing on mobile-first accessibility. The position also involves API integrations, security compliance, and the development of curated, personalized digital experiences. A user-centric mindset and the ability to translate business requirements into intuitive digital interfaces are essential.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Create user-focused designs and layouts for Unily pages aligned with business needs and communication objectives
- Build, update, and manage sections and pages within Unily in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Ensure all Unily pages are responsive and mobile-first to enhance usability and accessibility
- Maintain consistent design standards and adhere to brand guidelines across all digital touchpoints
- Connect external systems using REST APIs and Unilyâs Extend Module
- Develop custom widgets, components, or extensions within Unily for specific project needs
- Architect data flow for integrations between Unily and external systems via REST and SOAP protocols
- Implement security best practices for API integrations including OAuth, API keys, and encryption
- Design and deliver personalized portal experiences tailored to specific audience segments
- Provide expert guidance on Unilyâs capabilities and limitations for evaluating new digital initiatives
Experience & skills
- Proficiency in Angular, JavaScript, CSS3 / SCSS, and GraphQL
- Strong experience working with REST and SOAP APIs
- Hands-on experience with Unily, including content management and Extend Module usage
- Experience in architecting secure and efficient data flow solutions
- Demonstrated ability to create personalized and curated portal experiences
- Understanding of responsive design and frontend performance optimization
- Knowledge of API security practices including OAuth, API keys, token management, and encryption
- Ability to produce clean, accessible frontend code adhering to WCAG standards
- Experience with Git and collaborative development tools
- Strong communication skills for engaging with non-technical stakeholders
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and user-centric development
- Familiarity with front-end tools like HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and JavaScript
