Job description
The Manager - AI Specialist will oversee the delivery of AI projects from inception through deployment, encompassing requirements gathering, data preparation, model training, and integration. The role requires staying abreast of the latest developments in the AI landscape and leading the incorporation of new methodologies and technologies into projects. The specialist will support clients in developing their AI strategies, identifying opportunities where AI can add value or solve existing problems, and developing detailed AI project roadmaps and implementation plans. Collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and business analysts is essential to ensure cohesive and effective AI solution development. The role also involves communicating complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitating knowledge sharing and training sessions to enhance team understanding and adoption of AI technologies.

Key responsibilities
- Manage delivery of AI projects from inception through deployment, including requirements gathering, data preparation, model training, and integration
- Stay updated on the latest developments in the AI landscape and lead the incorporation of new methodologies and technologies into projects
- Support clients in developing their AI strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Identify opportunities where AI can add value or solve existing problems
- Develop and present detailed AI project roadmaps and implementation plans
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business analysts to ensure cohesive and effective AI solution development
- Communicate complex AI concepts and technical details to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner

Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; PhD is a plus
- Proven applied knowledge and experience in AI research and development, with a strong portfolio of delivered project outcomes
- Experience in managing AI projects from inception through deployment
- Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R
- Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively
