Job description
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is hiring an Expert Project Leader for its Climate & Sustainability Practice to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This leadership role is dedicated to shaping sustainability strategies for key public sector clients across the Middle East, helping them implement ESG strategies, decarbonization roadmaps, climate adaptation plans, and sustainability policies. The position involves extensive cross-functional collaboration, advisory leadership, and the ability to convert complex climate agendas into actionable transformation plans. The role is part of BCGâs global C&S network of over 550 experts committed to supporting climate resilience, sustainable growth, and systemic change.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of climate strategies and sustainability initiatives for public sector clients across the Middle East.
- Support the development of ESG frameworks, climate adaptation models, and decarbonization pathways.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex client cases, proposals, and workshops.
- Act as a strategic advisor for national sustainability programs and policy formation.
- Occasionally travel onsite for client engagement to understand their needs and customize sustainable solutions.
- Drive stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and execution planning across public institutions and government entities.
- Serve as a knowledge partner within BCGâs Climate & Sustainability practice, sharing best practices and scaling impact.
Experience & skills
- 8+ years of combined consulting and industry experience, with a strong focus on climate and sustainability topics.
- Proven success in managing large-scale projects within the public sector domain.
- Expertise in developing climate strategies, ESG frameworks, and adaptation/resilience programs.
- Advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Exceptional stakeholder and client engagement skills.
- Strong leadership and collaboration mindset with a focus on inclusivity and team development.
