Job description
The Senior Visual Merchandising Manager (Store-Based) role for Primark in the United Arab Emirates is responsible for delivering and maintaining exemplary visual merchandising standards within a flagship retail store environment. The role focuses on designing and executing promotional campaigns, providing recommendations, and implementing action plans that align visual execution with trade and marketing calendars. The position includes training store staff on brand standards, delivering ongoing coaching, and ensuring best practice visual merchandising execution across all store departments. The role plays a pivotal part within the brand team, supporting new store openings and new market entry initiatives. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving layouts, windows, and product placements to drive brand visibility and sales, overseeing timely implementation of campaigns and product launches, planning and managing the store’s visual calendar and resource allocation, and maintaining strong communication with Regional Visual Merchandising and Store Management teams. The Senior Visual Merchandising Manager acts as the brand’s visual ambassador within the flagship store, collaborates cross-functionally to deliver consistent and elevated brand experiences, and ensures operational excellence by assessing visual standards and enforcing best practices. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with familiarity with design and planning tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD. The position combines strong commercial focus with creative execution to balance brand aesthetics and operational priorities in a high-volume fashion retail environment.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of effective and commercial visual merchandising standards across all store departments
- Design and implement promotional campaigns and visual action plans aligned with trade and marketing calendars
- Train, develop, and coach VM Managers and Visual Merchandisers to achieve best-in-class visual execution
- Review and approve store layouts, window displays, and product placements to maximize brand visibility and sales
- Oversee the timely implementation of campaigns and product launches within the store
- Plan and manage the store visual calendar and allocate resources to support operational priorities
- Assess visual standards within the store and ensure best practice execution by all staff
- Support new store openings and new market entry initiatives as part of the brand team
- Maintain strong communication and alignment with Regional Visual Merchandising and Store Management teams
- Act as the brand’s visual ambassador within the flagship store and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver consistent brand experiences
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Retail Management, or a related field
- Possess 7–9 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, including at least 3 years in a leadership or flagship store role
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Demonstrate familiarity with design and planning tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or similar platforms
