Job description
Clients and regulators trust EY's audits only if the firm stays genuinely independent, and this Doha position helps protect that independence across MENA. Independence policies, procedures and the compliance framework are operated and maintained across the region. Complex projects, including full-country compliance reviews and issues arising from business relationships, are yours to lead. Questions, violations and concerns from management and staff are resolved with clear, practical guidance, with Global Independence and IFAC Centre executives consulted on the hardest cases. Independence tools and processes need technical support so professionals adopt the controls properly. Awareness programmes and training are designed with service line, sector and Area stakeholders to cut violations. Emerging risks are flagged early, with practical mitigation recommended to executives. Where the level allows, team members carrying out reviews look to you for work allocation, review and technical direction. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law or a related field and relevant experience in independence, compliance, risk, audit or regulatory work are required, with Big Four exposure and Arabic an advantage.
