GEMS Al Barsha National School seeks an experienced, passionate Head of Mathematics to lead a high-performing department from August 2026, within a British curriculum school that integrates the National Curriculum for England with UAE national values, culture, and identity. The role provides strategic and academic leadership across all phases of Mathematics, modelling outstanding classroom practice, setting high expectations for pedagogy, assessment, and outcomes, and driving continuous improvement through curriculum design, assessment strategies, and data-driven decision-making. The Head of Mathematics mentors and develops teachers via coaching, feedback, and professional learning; oversees assessment policies and rigorous analysis of attainment and progress; fosters a culture of curiosity, problem-solving, and mathematical confidence; promotes mathematics through enrichment, competitions, and co-curricular activities; ensures effective communication with parents, colleagues, and senior leadership for robust progress tracking and reporting; and upholds GEMS Education’s Core Values while contributing to the wider life of the school and community engagement.
