Job description
The Finacle - Senior Product Engineer is responsible for implementing, customizing, and enhancing Finacle Core Banking solutions, with a strong focus on version 11. The role involves working with Finacle APIs, Connect 24, and Finacle Integrator to meet interfacing and product capability requirements. The engineer must possess deep expertise in customization architecture, scripting, Unix, and Oracle database development. This position requires direct client interaction, strong understanding of banking functional processes, adherence to best coding and security practices, and the ability to work in Agile environments.

Key responsibilities
- Work on Finacle 11 product capability, customization, and architecture.
- Handle Finacle interfacing requirements using Custom and Product APIs, Connect 24, and Finacle Integrator.
- Design and develop new custom menus, reports (MRT and Jasper), batch jobs, and menu customization.
- Support and debug EOD-BOD processes.
- Develop and maintain Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions for Finacle applications.
- Write and maintain Finacle and Unix shell scripts and reports.
- Enhance and support Finacle Integrator modules.
- Utilize knowledge of Finacle CRM and Admin modules (FINFADM/SSOADM).
- Ensure adherence to best practices for coding, security, unit testing, and documentation.
- Apply Agile methodologies to manage development and delivery cycles.
- Ensure the quality of technical and application architecture across systems.
- Benchmark Finacle technology against industry standards and innovations.
Experience & skills
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of product experience in Finacle Core Banking (Infosys/Edgeverve).
- Hands-on experience with Finacle 11, including customization and architecture.
- Experience in Finacle APIs, Connect 24, Finacle Integrator.
- Strong understanding of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience in Finacle scripting, Unix shell scripting, and report design.
- Finacle certification from Infosys is a plus.
- Knowledge of banking domain and Finacle functional modules including CRM and Admin.
- Experience in Agile methodology.
- Experience in coding, unit testing, and documentation best practices.
