Job description
A major waste sector advisory project in the UAE needs a steady coordination hand between the client and a multidisciplinary team of senior experts, and that is the core of this Senior Project Coordinator, Waste & Environment role. You will serve as the day-to-day on-site coordination focal point in Abu Dhabi, sitting between the client and specialists covering waste management, tariff and financial analysis, infrastructure, institutional and regulatory matters, policy, benchmarking, data analysis and stakeholder engagement. Feasibility studies, infrastructure economics and tariff frameworks run through the assignment, and you will need to understand, integrate and coordinate technical, financial, economic and institutional inputs across multiple workstreams. Data and information requests, technical comments, actions, decisions, dependencies, deliverables and deadlines all get tracked and followed up as part of daily coordination. Meetings, workshops, presentations and technical discussions need preparing and coordinating, keeping the client and project experts aligned. Multidisciplinary inputs get consolidated into coherent project deliverables, with consistency checked across every technical workstream. Coordination gaps, technical interfaces, information constraints and potential delays get identified early and escalated to the Project Manager when they arise. CAPEX/OPEX analysis, cost recovery principles and tariff structures sit close to the surface of the work, even though the role itself is coordination rather than technical delivery. Support to the Project Manager and senior technical experts runs throughout, helping keep the wider assignment on track.
