Job description
The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing strategic retail initiatives and day-to-day operational productivity across Al Futtaimās Watches & Jewelry showrooms in the UAE. The role focuses on maximizing sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing store performance, optimizing inventory, and maintaining brand standards in visual merchandising and operations. This position requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and execution of retail operations while mentoring and motivating showroom managers and teams.

Key responsibilities
- Maximize sales productivity by driving KPIs including Sales per Square Foot, ATV, Conversion Rate, and Upselling.
- Analyze store P&L performance and implement corrective actions.
- Deploy sales budgets and manage controllable operating costs within guidelines.
- Guide showroom managers in staff deployment and productivity management.
- Monitor rosters, leaves, and rotations for efficiency.
- Support replenishment planning and stock allocator execution.
- Drive brand performance across showrooms.
- Propose frontline incentive schemes to boost sales.
- Ensure customer centricity and exceed service level expectations.
- Implement DSES Service Standards and manage escalations.
- Ensure adherence to VM standards and SOP compliance.
- Manage backend retail administration, data capture, and e-receipts targets.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and facility management with corporate teams.
- Develop and motivate high-performing retail teams through coaching and training.
- Plan annual training calendars with HRBP and L&D teams.
- Conduct performance reviews, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Provide market intelligence on competition and expansion opportunities.
- Coordinate with brand managers on brand strategies.
- Control inventory, manage audits, and prevent pilferage.
- Oversee seasonal and promotional campaigns with marketing and brand managers.
- Plan and execute new store openings, closures, and retail projects within Capex budgets.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
- 5ā7 years of experience in retail operations management.
- Experience in managing multi-store operations and leading retail teams.
- Proven track record of achieving sales objectives and driving operational efficiency.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including P&L management.
- Experience in inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
- Strategic planning and execution capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in using KPIs to drive retail performance.
