Job description
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi sits at the heart of Saadiyat Island's Cultural District, a seven hectare campus minutes from Saadiyat Beach, New York University Abu Dhabi, the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Berklee College of Music. This Science Teacher role covers maternity leave from January 2027, joining a school built around a broad academic curriculum and an extensive co-curricular programme spanning fine arts, performing arts, music, sports, gymnastics, golf, horse riding and debating. You plan, prepare and present lessons tailored to every ability level in the class, motivating students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching. Classroom provisions, learning resources and displays get organized to build a positive learning environment, with teaching reflected on and adjusted as student progress data comes in. Assessment and recording run through Target Tracker, with data used to shape planning, provision and intervention. Positive relationships stay central to the role, spanning students, parents, curriculum support staff and fellow teachers, with communication running through school systems such as CPOMS where relevant. The school's behaviour policy gets followed closely, with classes managed to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils while modelling expected attitudes and values. Curriculum action groups, school events, outings and activities, including some on weekends or evenings, all fall within scope. Feedback on student progress reaches parents and carers through Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
