Job description
The role is responsible for proactively cultivating relationships with financial sector customers while applying Microsoft sales strategies to secure alignment, buy-in, and execution. It requires developing a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, strategies, priorities, and industry direction and leading digital transformation initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes. The position oversees execution of account plans for multiple complex accounts, ensuring engagements deliver high-volume sales results aligned with goals, forecasts, and strategic priorities. It involves leading and coordinating diverse extended teams, collaborating with internal industry experts to identify opportunities, driving account growth, and developing joint solutions with partners. The role demands deep engagement with executive, business, and technical decision makers, establishing a strong Rhythm of Business (RoB) with customer sponsors, driving ROI-focused transformation, leveraging digital selling methods, and providing trusted advisory support. Responsibilities include assessing and mitigating pipeline risk, managing revenue and consumption targets, anticipating needs, influencing long-term strategic plans, advocating for customers internally, and identifying opportunities for additional business-technology solutions. The role also requires deep industry knowledge, positioning Microsoft solution areas in a financial services context, developing value-based presentations, driving upsell and cross-sell plans, aligning KPIs with tailored solutions, and acting as a thought leader while orchestrating virtual teams to manage stakeholder engagement, satisfaction metrics, recovery actions, and strategic growth initiatives.

- Develop and oversee execution of account plans using Microsoft sales and delivery methodology for multiple accounts
- Lead diverse virtual teams and coordinate with industry experts to identify opportunities and scale account growth
- Cultivate relationships with executive, business, and technical decision makers using consultative engagement to secure buy-in and execution
- Drive digital transformation initiatives that create business value and align with customer strategies and priorities
- Develop strategies to manage pipeline, review forecasts, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with business priorities
- Expand network of internal and external partners to enhance partner impact and deliver seamless account management
- Coordinate joint solutions with partners and manage opportunities shared outbound and inbound
- Engage decision makers to articulate Microsoftâs value proposition and translate features into business outcomes
- Develop compelling value-proposition presentations and specialized business plans that generate new opportunities
- Drive upselling and cross-selling plans to highlight Microsoft and partner solutions addressing additional business and technology needs
- Lead customer satisfaction initiatives by anticipating issues, resolving blockers, and establishing recovery plans when necessary
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to influence customersâ transformation strategies and outcomes
- Develop an in-depth understanding of customer business strategies, technology needs, and industry direction to identify new solutions
- Advocate for customer needs internally by prioritizing requests and influencing roadmaps
- Document stakeholder maps, decision makers, and influence networks within account plans
Experience & skills
- Hold a Masterâs degree in Business Administration with 6+ yearsâ experience in financial services, digital transformation, consulting, or technology OR hold a Bachelorâs degree in Business or Technology
- Alternatively possess 8+ yearsâ experience in financial services, digital transformation, consulting, or technology
- Demonstrate experience driving digital transformation and industry-aligned business value
- Show proven capability in enterprise account management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement
- Apply strong sales acumen, consultative selling, and ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes
- Possess experience in pipeline management, forecasting, and risk mitigation for complex accounts
- Exhibit ability to lead virtual teams, collaborate with internal experts, and drive partner-led growth
- Demonstrate deep industry understanding and ability to position enterprise technology solutions in financial services contexts
