Job description

Budgeting takes up a real share of the role, covering development and management of the hotel's annual budget alongside financial statements, reports, and forecasts prepared for senior management. Cost control measures get implemented to protect profitability, and financial insights get shared with operational teams to help them perform better. Regulatory compliance and risk assessment run through the position too, since financial risks tied to hotel operations need identifying and managing before they become problems. You lead and develop the finance team, providing training on financial processes and systems while building a collaborative environment. Business development and investment analysis fall within scope as well, working with other departments to spot opportunities for revenue growth. Stakeholder engagement matters throughout, with financial performance and strategy communicated to owners, management, and other stakeholders. Accounting personnel across the property report through this role, covering everything from cost control on food and beverage to credit applications and revenue report auditing.
