Job description
Assistant Resident Landscape Engineer role responsible for overseeing landscape and park infrastructure construction packages within a residential development project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The position involves supervision of construction activities across multiple engineering disciplines, ensuring that all works are executed in accordance with contract requirements, approved drawings, and project specifications. The role requires coordination with contractors, clients, and project managers to ensure alignment of engineering deliverables and construction progress. Responsibilities include reviewing and implementing design drawings, assessing feasibility studies, and managing interfaces between structural, landscape, and related engineering disciplines. The engineer ensures timely production and delivery of reliable project solutions while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and engineering standards. The role also includes site supervision responsibilities such as monitoring contractor performance, enforcing health and safety procedures, and ensuring environmental protection compliance. The engineer actively monitors quality assurance processes, identifies deviations, and raises non-conformance reports (NCRs) where required. The position requires handling contractor submissions, responding to requests for information (RFIs), and ensuring smooth technical communication throughout the project lifecycle. The role also contributes to maintaining client relationships and enhancing consultancy reputation by ensuring high-quality delivery and effective stakeholder engagement in infrastructure and landscape construction environments.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Oversee landscape and park infrastructure construction packages and ensure compliance with project specifications and contract requirements
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and project managers to coordinate engineering activities and ensure alignment across project stakeholders
- Review and implement design drawings and assess feasibility and interface requirements across multiple engineering disciplines
- Ensure timely delivery of construction solutions and monitor progress against project schedules and engineering deliverables
- Check contractor submissions and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) to support construction and design coordination
- Monitor contractor health and safety performance and enforce site safety procedures, raising non-conformance reports (NCRs) when required
- Monitor quality assurance procedures on site and ensure compliance with approved engineering and construction standards
- Maintain and enhance client relationships while supporting long-term consultancy reputation in infrastructure delivery
Experience & skills
- Hold Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited university
- Demonstrate experience in large infrastructure and landscape or park development projects
- Possess knowledge and practical application of health, safety, and environmental protection requirements in construction environments
- Show ability to manage construction supervision and coordination across multi-disciplinary engineering projects
- Be capable of reviewing contractor submissions, design drawings, and technical documentation effectively
- Exhibit understanding of contract requirements, engineering standards, and construction compliance processes
- Demonstrate capability in site supervision, quality control, and non-conformance reporting within construction projects
