Job description
High-speed digital electronics in modern defence systems leave very little margin for signal integrity or EMC problems, and this Abu Dhabi position at Halcon, part of EDGE Group, leads the hardware design that gets them right. Systems and subsystems are designed, integrated and verified end to end. Hardware architecture, PCB layout and qualification testing all benefit from your technical direction. Design reviews are planned and led against development specifications, interface control documents and customer requirements. Junior engineers look to you for mentoring, and hardware development processes and standards are improved over time. Systems engineering processes and hardware development lifecycles frame the work throughout. Experience in high-speed PCB design, signal integrity analysis and EMI/EMC compliance will stand out, as will a background in defence, aerospace or guided munitions. At least 8 years in hardware or firmware engineering with a strong digital design focus is required, along with an electronics, electrical or computer engineering degree.
