Job description
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for delivering site logistics strategy for a major mixed-use remote construction project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, managed by Mace. The role involves working within a Project & Programme Management environment to support extensive infrastructure, marine, and built asset delivery through a hands-on project management approach. The Logistics Manager will develop and implement the overall site logistics strategy, manage material deliveries, equipment movement, laydown areas, and site storage operations, and oversee traffic management, site access control, and personnel movement. The position requires coordination with construction, health safety and wellbeing (HSW), commercial, and planning teams to ensure integrated logistics planning. The role also includes establishing and maintaining temporary site infrastructure such as access roads, welfare facilities, and modular facilities. The Logistics Manager will manage logistics suppliers, subcontractors, transport providers, and off-site support facilities while monitoring logistics KPIs, reporting dashboards, and performance indicators. The position requires ensuring compliance with Mace health, safety, wellbeing, and quality standards, leading and supervising the site logistics team, and promoting continuous improvement. The project environment includes remote and challenging locations with extensive infrastructure, marine, and built assets, requiring experience managing both main and subcontract packages. The role also requires experience using digital logistics tools and reporting platforms, strong understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works, logistics planning, and ability to manage multidisciplinary site teams and build relationships with contractors, consultants, and client teams.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overall site logistics strategy for the programme, ensuring alignment with construction sequencing, project timelines, and delivery milestones across infrastructure, marine, and built assets
- Manage material deliveries, equipment movement, laydown areas, and site storage operations to support construction activities and maintain operational efficiency across project zones
- Oversee traffic management plans, site access control procedures, and movement of personnel, vehicles, and equipment across remote and complex construction environments
- Coordinate logistics activities with construction, health safety and wellbeing (HSW), commercial, and planning teams to ensure integrated delivery and project alignment
- Establish and maintain temporary site infrastructure including access roads, welfare facilities, modular facilities, and temporary works required for project execution
- Manage logistics suppliers, subcontractors, transport providers, and off-site support facilities ensuring compliance with project logistics plans and delivery schedules
- Monitor logistics KPIs, reporting dashboards, and performance indicators using digital logistics tools and reporting platforms to track logistics efficiency
- Ensure compliance with Mace health, safety, wellbeing, and quality standards across all logistics operations and site activities
- Lead, supervise, and develop the site logistics team while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Support management of main contractor and subcontractor packages while coordinating logistics activities for remote mixed-use development
- Identify risks and challenges in remote project environments and implement mitigation strategies for logistics operations
- Maintain coordination with contractors, consultants, and client teams to support project delivery objectives
- Provide logistics planning support for infrastructure, marine, and built asset construction activities
- Ensure effective utilization of laydown areas, storage facilities, and equipment movement scheduling
- Support planning and execution of temporary works associated with logistics infrastructure
- Monitor and report logistics performance to project leadership and stakeholders
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years experience as a Logistics Manager on major construction or infrastructure projects including mixed-use developments
- Possess strong understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works, and logistics planning across large-scale projects
- Demonstrate experience working in remote or challenging project environments involving infrastructure, marine, and built assets
- Exhibit strong coordination, planning, and problem-solving capability across multidisciplinary construction teams
- Demonstrate leadership capability with experience managing multi-disciplinary site logistics teams and contractors
- Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and client teams to support project delivery
- Demonstrate deep commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing performance in logistics operations
- Demonstrate experience using digital logistics tools and reporting platforms for performance monitoring and reporting
- Maintain strong communication skills including written and verbal communication for stakeholder coordination
- Demonstrate proactive delivery-focused mindset and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced construction environments
