Job description
Business Analyst role within Cigna Healthcare (Dubai) reporting into the business (not an IT Business/Systems Analyst), responsible for engaging stakeholders to elicit and define business project scope, requirements, and workflows for assigned process development or improvement initiatives in the insurance/financial services context. Uses Scaled Agile Methodology (SAFe) to compose Epics and document detailed business requirements in internally approved systems; partners with IT Business Systems Analysts to align business processes with technology solutions and participates in selected systems analysis/design sessions. Produces scope statements/high-level scope requirements for portfolio and project intake; documents system integration requirements across legacy platforms and third-party solutions, acting as liaison between business units and technology teams to ensure clear communication and delivery. Builds deep knowledge of business operations to analyze current procedures, investigate alternatives, evaluate and recommend compliant solutions aligned to regulatory standards and enterprise architecture guidelines, with good understanding of the UAE insurance market and regulations. Leads/coordinates user acceptance testing by creating UAT test cases, executing UAT with stakeholders, and monitoring, tracking, and reporting UAT defects in coordination with QA for remediation. Applies business analysis techniques (process modeling, root cause analysis, data modeling, process mapping, traceability), supports production of project proposals/business cases, and documents requirements, workflows, and integration needs using tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Jira, and Azure DevOps; operates within SAFe/Agile practices to accelerate delivery and ensure clear, testable, and compliant requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Elicit and document business process requirements and process flows for assigned development or improvement projects using SAFe (compose Epics) in approved systems
- Engage business leads to define new project scope, create scope statements and high-level scope requirements for portfolio and intake processes
- Document system integration requirements involving legacy platforms and third-party solutions; serve as liaison between business units and technology teams
- Analyze current work procedures/practices; investigate, evaluate, and recommend alternative solutions aligned to regulatory standards and enterprise architecture guidelines
- Collaborate with IT Business Systems Analysts to align business processes with technology solutions; participate in systems analysis/design sessions as needed
- Develop UAT test cases with business stakeholders; coordinate and execute UAT; monitor, track, and report UAT defects and coordinate remediation with QA
- Support analysis and preparation of project proposals and business cases
- Apply business analysis techniques (process modeling, root cause analysis, data modeling, process mapping, traceability) to produce clear, testable requirements
- Document detailed business requirements within internally approved systems following Scaled Agile practices
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information management, or related discipline
- 3–5 years of business analysis experience, preferably in insurance or financial services
- Experience analyzing and interpreting business requirements across insurance/financial services transactions
- Good understanding of the UAE insurance market and regulations
- Proven experience supporting project proposals/business cases and business process re-engineering
- Experience creating UAT documentation and leading UAT execution and defect tracking
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework and Agile practices; experience composing Epics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Visio; experience with Jira and Azure DevOps
- Ability to work with diverse executives, managers, and SMEs in a culturally diverse organization; self-starter able to plan and lead work sessions with minimal oversight
- Six Sigma certifications are a plus; strong data analysis and interpretation capabilities
