The Program Manager and Development Advisor role within the Management Development Services Division (MDSD) at a global energy and oil & gas company involves supporting and developing leadership capabilities through structured programs delivered in collaboration with consultants, contracted universities, and vendors. The role focuses on leadership, communication, finance, and business negotiations programs, requiring the individual to act as a liaison between participants, academic institutions, and service providers to ensure delivery to high organizational standards. Responsibilities include designing and delivering training programs using adult learning principles, facilitating both in-person and virtual training sessions, and leveraging learning technologies, digital learning tools, simulations, virtual models, and multiple virtual training platforms to enhance engagement and effectiveness. The role includes curriculum development and instructional design, ensuring course materials remain current through innovation and integration of modern tools, as well as preparing classroom environments and evaluating course outcomes. The candidate oversees full lifecycle program management including planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, onboarding, and coordination with administrative teams, while maintaining alignment with leadership development goals. Additional duties include conducting needs analysis, developing evaluation metrics, implementing continuous improvement strategies, managing risk and compliance with company policies, and ensuring readiness for audits. The role requires stakeholder management and communication across multiple levels, building relationships, influencing outcomes, and ensuring transparency throughout program execution. The advisor also ensures cultural alignment of programs with organizational values, provides advisory support to learning partners, and enhances participant engagement by managing feedback and ensuring a high-quality learning experience. Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver training programs using adult learning principles by conducting both in-person and virtual sessions, ensuring structured, engaging, and effective delivery aligned with leadership development objectives and organizational standards
- Develop and enhance curriculum and instructional design by collaborating with learning professionals to create course materials, integrating digital learning tools, simulations, virtual models, and interactive digital participant guides to maintain relevance and impact
- Manage the full lifecycle of development programs by overseeing program management activities including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, onboarding of participants, and coordination with administrative teams to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
- Serve as the primary liaison between participants, contracted universities, consultants, and vendors by ensuring clear stakeholder communication, alignment of expectations, and adherence to organizational standards throughout program execution
- Lead and support project teams by setting expectations, facilitating collaboration, providing feedback, and ensuring high-performance outcomes across all program management and development activities
- Conduct needs analysis and implement evaluation metrics by assessing program effectiveness, developing evaluation plans, collecting participant feedback, and applying continuous improvement strategies to enhance learning outcomes
- Manage risk and ensure compliance by identifying program risks, implementing mitigation strategies, maintaining adherence to company policies, and supporting audit readiness and accountability processes
- Provide advisory support on cultural alignment by guiding learning partners, universities, and vendors on organizational values and ensuring that leadership development programs are relevant and aligned with company culture
- Enhance participant engagement by building rapport, understanding feedback in context, managing classroom environments, and ensuring a high-quality and impactful learning experience throughout all program stages
- Oversee operational coordination by managing logistics such as scheduling, field training support, onboarding new cohorts, and ensuring seamless coordination across all stakeholders and support teams
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor degree in business as a minimum educational qualification with a Master degree preferred in education or a related field to support expertise in leadership development and training programs
- Demonstrate 6 to 10 years of experience in leadership development programs, program management, project management, and curriculum development within structured organizational environments
- Possess experience facilitating both in-person and virtual workshops, including the ability to manage classroom environments and deliver engaging training sessions using adult learning principles
- Exhibit proficiency in using emerging learning technologies, digital learning tools, simulations, virtual models, and multiple virtual training platforms to enhance the learning environment and delivery effectiveness
- Demonstrate capability to design, prepare, and manage training classroom environments while conducting and evaluating courses using structured evaluation metrics and feedback mechanisms
- Show expertise in instructional design and development of workshops, including creation of supporting documents such as interactive digital participant guides and other learning materials
- Demonstrate ability to build and maintain relationships at multiple organizational levels through effective stakeholder management, communication, and influencing techniques
- Exhibit experience in conducting needs analysis, continuous research of industry learning trends, and identifying appropriate practices and technologies to support organizational development needs
- Demonstrate knowledge of risk management and compliance management processes to ensure adherence to company policies, audit readiness, and accountability in program execution
- Be willing and able to travel lightly within and outside the Kingdom as required to support program delivery, coordination with universities, and stakeholder engagement
