The Splunk Solutions Engineer role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, supports Splunk, a Cisco company, focused on building a resilient digital world using an end-to-end platform designed for hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The position operates within the Sales category and is responsible for driving the technical sales cycle by discovering, positioning, and proving key technical elements required to achieve technical wins in complex customer environments. The role collaborates with Account Managers to identify promising opportunities, conduct discovery calls, evaluate prospect needs, and drive measurable business outcomes. The engineer demonstrates Splunk products and services through onsite, remote, and field event sessions to showcase value and address complex technical challenges, while conducting hands-on proof of value leveraging Splunk solution offerings and the Splunk data platform. The role involves establishing and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders to transform customers into long-term Splunk champions and executing professional advocacy through social media and industry events to support continuous pipeline generation. The position requires proven experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or solution engineering within Enterprise Software, ITOps, or Cybersecurity sectors, with hands-on experience delivering technical product demonstrations to customers in person, via webinars, or at industry events. Prior experience with Splunk data platform, SecOps, ITOps, APM, or equivalent technology stack is required, along with hands-on experience conducting proof of value engagements leveraging data platforms, security operations, or observability tools. Preferred qualifications include strong business acumen to understand organizational IT, cybersecurity, and compliance structures and digital transformation drivers, knowledge of security operation standards, and attainment of Splunk Enterprise Security Admin certification or other cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or SANS Cybersecurity. Additional expertise includes experience with modern application architecture such as Kubernetes, Docker, or serverless technologies, knowledge of digital experience monitoring including synthetics and real-user monitoring tools, and AppDynamics or Observability Cloud certifications. The role also requires proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, and knowledge of AI tools and concepts including LLMs, GenAI frameworks, and Time Series models. Candidates must be based in Dubai, UAE, and be willing to travel within UAE or Gulf region to visit prospects and engage in onsite customer work.

- Drive the technical sales cycle by discovering, positioning, and proving key technical elements within complex customer environments, evaluating hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, aligning Splunk solutions with enterprise IT, cybersecurity, SecOps, ITOps, and APM use cases, and achieving technical wins that support measurable business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to identify promising opportunities, participate in discovery calls, assess customer requirements, analyze business and technical needs, and align Splunk data platform capabilities with customer infrastructure and operational challenges.
- Demonstrate Splunk products and services through onsite sessions, remote demonstrations, webinars, and field event presentations, showcasing platform capabilities, observability tools, security analytics, and operational intelligence while addressing complex technical challenges.
- Conduct hands-on proof of value engagements leveraging Splunk solution offerings, configuring data ingestion, validating use cases, integrating data platforms, and demonstrating measurable value to support technical validation and customer adoption.
- Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders including technical teams, IT leadership, cybersecurity teams, and business decision-makers to transform customers into long-term Splunk champions.
- Execute professional advocacy by participating in social media engagement, industry events, webinars, and technical workshops to promote Splunk capabilities and support continuous pipeline generation.
- Support customer initiatives involving modern application architecture including Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies while demonstrating observability, monitoring, and analytics capabilities.
- Travel to visit prospects and engage in onsite customer work across Dubai, UAE, and Gulf region, conducting technical workshops, discovery sessions, proof of value engagements, and technical presentations.
Experience & skills
- Possess proven experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or solution engineering within Enterprise Software, ITOps, or Cybersecurity sectors, including customer-facing technical engagements and complex sales cycle participation.
- Demonstrate ability to deliver technical product demonstrations to customers in person, via webinars, and at industry events, showcasing Splunk platform capabilities and observability use cases.
- Demonstrate prior experience with Splunk data platform, SecOps, ITOps, APM, or equivalent technology stack, including integration and deployment scenarios.
- Possess hands-on experience conducting proof of value engagements leveraging data platforms, security operations, or observability tools.
- Demonstrate understanding of organizational IT, cybersecurity, and compliance structures and digital transformation drivers, including knowledge of security operation standards.
- Hold or pursue Splunk Enterprise Security Admin certification or cybersecurity industry certifications such as CISSP or SANS Cybersecurity.
- Demonstrate experience with modern application architecture including Kubernetes, Docker, or serverless technologies, and knowledge of digital experience monitoring including synthetics and real-user monitoring tools, with AppDynamics or Observability Cloud certifications considered a plus.
