Job description
Automotive entities within the Al Rostamani Group rely on this IT Business Partner in Dubai as their main link to central IT, covering day-to-day relationships, projects, demand and IT services. Reporting runs both to the entity's GM and to the central IT department. Business processes across vehicle sales, spare parts, service, CRM and finance are mapped to IT initiatives, and a master project portfolio is analysed and prioritised for each entity. The main core solution is managed as a product, with its adoption, roadmap, documentation and security under your ownership. Principal automotive vendors and suppliers of portals and mobile apps are kept close, and their best practices are brought into the business. Service health, SLAs, change requests and escalations all come to you, alongside architecture documents for the entity's application landscape. A multi-disciplined IT team, on-site and offshore, reports to you. Adoption of IT systems is a key measure, so training, demos and change management are part of the work. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in IT and 8 to 12 years of IT and business experience, including 4 to 6 in a similar UAE role, with SQL Report Builder skills and knowledge of Autoline, SAP DBM or TitanDMS an advantage.

- Embed the IT Business Relationship framework across automotive entities
- Articulate business priorities for new or changed products and services in line with desired outcomes
- Mediate conflicting stakeholder requirements
- Handle stakeholder complaints and escalations through a formal, considerate process
- Track customer and technology trends that could affect service provision
- Assess automotive technology innovations for technical and commercial viability
- Partner with principal automotive vendors to bring proven best practices into the business
- Foster relationships with vendors of core solutions, portals and mobile apps
- Map business processes and requirements to IT initiatives
- Build the master IT project portfolio for each entity and lead its prioritisation
- Control project risks and issues from identification to resolution
- Oversee the operation and health of IT services for the assigned entities
- Govern service level agreements with internal and external vendors
- Streamline the flow of change requests
- Enforce central IT policies, processes and standards within the entity
- Develop and review architecture documents for the entity's IT services and applications
- Lead a multi-disciplined IT team on-site and offshore
- Own the main core solution as product manager, covering adoption, operation, roadmap and security
- Support compliance with relevant regulatory bodies
- Shape the entity's IT strategic vision and budgets
- Evaluate project utilisation against expected benefits
- Capture lessons learned and build continual improvement plans
- Report through a matrix to the entity GM and central IT
- Champion adoption of IT systems as the entity's change manager
- Liaise between IT, end users and management during transitions to new technology
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree in an IT field
- Bring 8 to 12 years of IT and business or industry experience
- Offer 4 to 6 years in a similar role in the UAE
- Demonstrate strong automotive business acumen across vehicle sales, spare parts, service, CRM and finance
- Apply solid architecture and technical knowledge to solution selection and maintenance
- Build reports and manage data using SQL Report Builder
- Document AS-IS and TO-BE scenarios with supporting ROI
- Understand UAE regulations affecting the automotive business
- Have knowledge of automotive solutions such as Autoline, Autoline Drive, SAP DBM or TitanDMS (added value)
- Present, train and coach users and team members effectively
