Job description
The Commercial Executive at Microsoft in Qatar is a key individual contributor role responsible for designing and executing commercial strategies, leading negotiation processes, and ensuring deal compliance and profitability. With a focus on revenue generation and business growth, the role requires managing commercial constructs, handling objections, tailoring solutions, and executing successful deals—including new offerings like Copilot. The Commercial Executive collaborates closely with Sales and Finance stakeholders to define pricing and contractual terms while leading negotiations and presenting compelling value propositions. Responsibilities include managing internal and external sales, achieving on-time renewals, building trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and Microsoft teams, and analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities. The position demands 5–7 years of experience in sales and negotiation, with strong communication skills and strategic thinking. A deep understanding of Microsoft Support, licensing programs, and contracting is advantageous but not mandatory. The role allows up to 50% work from home and may include 0–25% travel.

- Achieve revenue and business growth for Microsoft and ensure compliance through the sales process
- Understand customer needs, address objections, and tailor commercial solutions for long-term success
- Lead internal and external sales through commercial construct and deal making
- Optimize investment and customization using price and non-price concessions while ensuring on-time renewals
- Identify and maximize opportunities with new offerings like Copilot and ensure successful deal execution
- Collaborate with Sales and Finance stakeholders to define and align on negotiation strategy including pricing, terms, and conditions
- Serve as the Lead Negotiator, preparing compelling proposals and articulating the value proposition to address customer concerns
- Develop trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, partners, Account Team, and Specialist Teams
- Collaborate with peers across regions to ensure business continuity, balance workloads, and share insights
Experience & skills
- Have 7+ years of sales and negotiation experience OR a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and long-term planning capabilities
- Possess excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Show proficiency in developing and executing negotiation strategies
- Have the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and value propositions
- Understand Microsoft licensing programs and contracting principles (preferred but not required)
- Be comfortable interacting with senior leaders and procurement teams
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to handle conflict constructively
