The People Consulting - Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager at EY in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, plays a central role in directing, designing, and implementing major change and people transformation programs across the MENA region, primarily focused on large-scale business and HR transformations. The position involves developing and executing people and change management strategies and business cases with measurable outcomes, supporting clients through their HR and workforce transformation agendas, and providing change management support for organizational shifts. This role sits within EYâs People Advisory Services, requiring close collaboration across global service lines to maximize EYâs collective knowledge and experience. The incumbent will manage senior client stakeholders, deliver strategic insights, and ensure high-quality project delivery aligned with EY standards. Core responsibilities include analyzing complex business problems, developing sustainable HR and organizational solutions, leading teams of consultants, managing performance, and ensuring client satisfaction. The role demands subject matter expertise in HR transformation, organization design, talent management, performance management, rewards, and cultural or technology-driven change. Candidates are expected to have strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills in both Arabic and English, and a proven ability to deliver large transformation projects. Prior experience in professional services or consulting firms is required, and sector insight into government, energy, or financial services is desirable. Key responsibilities
- Direct, design, and implement major change and people transformation programs across MENA related to large-scale business or HR transformations.
- Develop people and change management strategies and business cases with measurable objectives.
- Work in diverse, cross-service project teams to address clientsâ complex organizational issues and deliver full-cycle business transformation projects.
- Manage and develop teams of consultants to deliver projects and pursuits in line with project plans and budgets.
- Proactively manage senior client stakeholders, including delivering difficult messages and managing performance issues up to senior management level.
- Create value for clients by demonstrating thought leadership, providing new insights, and ensuring service excellence.
- Analyze complex problems and deliver practical, sustainable HR and organizational solutions.
- Facilitate collaboration among team members and motivate teams to maximize performance.
- Identify and manage potential project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Apply knowledge of HR value chain projects, operational transformation, cultural change, and technology-driven change to client engagements.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Psychology, or Organizational Development; Masterâs degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience delivering large-scale business transformation, HR value chain projects, or change management initiatives.
- Subject matter expertise in HR transformation, organization design, talent management, performance management, rewards, and change management.
- Prior experience within a professional services or global consulting firm.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Arabic and English, written and verbal.
- Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders to gain support for major organizational changes.
- Experience managing senior client relationships and delivering strategic people solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex organizational challenges and propose actionable, sustainable solutions.
- Experience leading and mentoring project teams to achieve engagement goals.
- Desirable experience working within large private or public sector HR functions, particularly in government, energy, or financial services sectors.
