Job description
The Senior Brand Manager, R&I, Gulf at AstraZeneca is responsible for maximizing the potential of the therapeutic portfolio across the Gulf region. The role involves developing brand strategies, executing marketing plans, managing budgets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with corporate and ethical standards. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and drive brand strategy using customer insights and market data
- Participate in Business Action Plan creation and ensure operational implementation
- Update segmentation and targeting to maximize brand reach and effectiveness
- Lead campaign task forces, monthly implementation meetings, and marketing initiatives
- Leverage market intelligence to refine action plans and prioritize activities
- Develop campaign materials and briefing documents, ensuring alignment with global guidelines
- Manage and evaluate agency performance and budget allocation
- Collaborate with medical and sales teams for advisory boards, symposia, and launch activities
- Ensure compliance with AstraZeneca Code of Ethics and local laws
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead brand team development and implement KEE and marketing strategy
- Empower sales teams through training, field visits, and guidance on promotional materials
- Monitor brand performance and recommend actions for optimization
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of marketing experience in pharmaceutical or FMCG with cross-functional leadership
- Experience in Respiratory, Specialty, or Biologics brands
- Ability to develop and implement annual brand plans and manage projects
- Strong analytical skills and experience with forecasting models
- Proven leadership, autonomy, and ability to influence stakeholders
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Financial acumen and budget management experience
- Patient-centric mindset with ability to translate insights into strategy
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
- Gulf region experience and experience in brand launches preferred
