Job description
The Head of Wealth and Capital Markets Platforms leads the strategic design, governance, and end-to-end delivery of scalable, API-enabled platform capabilities underpinning the bankās Wealth and Capital Markets businesses, ensuring seamless, Shariah-compliant investment experiences across RM-led and self-directed channels. Scope includes defining and driving an integrated platform roadmap for advisory, portfolio management, capital markets access, and emerging digital asset solutions; owning platform architecture to simplify and optimize cost and performance; modernizing legacy platforms to microservices and APIs; and overseeing integration with custodians, market data providers, and compliance systems. The role leads capital markets infrastructure for real-time trading, order management, market data, and settlements across retail and institutional clients, and oversees core platforms including Bank GTN US, Murabaha Trading, and Trade Net (mobile, online, financials) alongside Advent Portfolio Management, Tradex (fund order management), Bank Wealth Investrack, Bank Wealth Syncova, Smart Sukuk, TTS (IPO system), and iBancs360 Banca Takaful. Responsibilities cover delivering Islamic-compliant digital asset capabilities (e.g., tokenized sukuk, digital securities, programmable assets) aligned to financial inclusion (micro-investments), stablecoin adoption, and CBDC readiness, engaging proactively with ESCA, DFSA, ADGM, and CBUAE frameworks. The platform embeds data-driven advisory via advanced analytics and behavioral insights to enable portfolio intelligence, decision support, personalized advisory, performance dashboards, risk profiling, and portfolio simulations, while partnering with risk and compliance to implement AAOIFI-aligned controls, investment suitability checks, regulatory reporting, and automated compliance (trade surveillance, client suitability) with rigorous data privacy and cybersecurity. The role owns vendor relationships and technology budgets to maximize ROI and leads cross-functional agile squads to deliver reliable, scalable wealth tech solutions aligned with the bankās innovation agenda and regulatory obligations.

- Lead end-to-end delivery of scalable, reliable solutions supporting omnichannel investment journeys for RM-led and self-directed clients.
- Integrate capital markets infrastructure for real-time trading, order management, market data, and settlements for retail and institutional segments.

- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (AI/ML, robo-advisory, analytics, open banking APIs) into the platform roadmap.
- Deliver Shariah-compliant digital asset capabilities including tokenized sukuk and programmable assets; align with stablecoin/CBDC readiness and financial inclusion goals.
- Embed governance, risk, and AAOIFI-aligned controls, including investment suitability checks, regulatory reporting, and automated trade surveillance.
- Enable data-driven advisory by implementing analytics for portfolio intelligence, decision support, performance dashboards, risk profiling, and simulations.
- Ensure compliance with internal, local, and international regulatory, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards across platforms.
- Lead regulatory preparedness for ESCA, DFSA, ADGM, and CBUAE changes affecting wealth and capital markets platforms.
- Build and manage vendor partnerships and fintech collaborations; own technology budgets and ROI tracking.
- Direct cross-functional agile squads, set delivery priorities, and remove impediments to achieve platform outcomes on time and within budget.

- Regulatory knowledge across ESCA, DFSA, ADGM, and CBUAE with ability to lead platform readiness and reporting.
- Proficiency implementing AAOIFI-aligned controls, trade surveillance, and client suitability across wealth platforms.
- Track record delivering omnichannel, API-enabled platforms for RM-led and self-directed clients with robust security and data privacy controls.
