The Assurance β Digital Audit β IT Audit Manager / Senior Manager role at PwC Middle East, based in Dubai, sits within the Assurance practice and the Digital Audit business unit, which combines human-led and technology-powered solutions to deliver quality audits and risk services. The role focuses on providing assurance services related to SAP systems, with a specific emphasis on IT General Controls (ITGC) and Business Process Controls (BPC). The Digital Audit practice supports organizations in reviewing and strengthening their technology and control environments by leveraging automation, AI, data analytics, and innovation to digitize audit delivery. The position involves leading SAP-focused assurance engagements across industries, covering ITGC, ERP configurations including SAP and Oracle, IT automated controls, SOX Compliance, business cycle and process controls review, and segregation of duties testing. The role requires assessing the design and operating effectiveness of ITGC within SAP environments, including access controls, change management, security administration, and system development, as well as evaluating business process controls across processes such as procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report. The role also includes developing and executing testing procedures, identifying control deficiencies and gaps, providing remediation recommendations, communicating audit findings to client management, collaborating with client personnel, and staying current on emerging technologies, trends, and regulatory requirements related to SAP systems and IT controls. In addition, the position entails managing and leading engagement teams, developing and maintaining client relationships, and coaching and mentoring junior team members, all while contributing to PwCβs purpose of building trust in society and solving important problems.

Key responsibilities
- Lead SAP IT General Controls (ITGC) and Business Process Controls (BPC) assurance engagements including planning, scoping, execution, and reporting
- Assess the design and operating effectiveness of ITGC within SAP environments covering access controls, change management, security administration, and system development
- Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of business process controls within SAP applications including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report
- Develop and execute testing procedures for ITGC and BPC controls through walkthroughs, control testing, and analysis of results
- Identify control deficiencies, gaps, and improvement areas within SAP systems and provide remediation and enhancement recommendations
- Communicate audit findings, observations, and recommendations clearly and effectively to client management
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to address questions and provide guidance on SAP ITGC and BPC best practices and industry standards
- Stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements related to SAP systems and IT controls and integrate insights into engagements
- Manage and lead engagement teams while developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members on technical topics and professional development
Experience & skills
- Hold a degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Possess professional certifications including CISA, CISSP, CPA, CISM, or CRISC, with a Masterβs degree considered an advantage
- Have a minimum of 5β7 years of experience in IT auditing, risk management, or consulting with a focus on SAP systems and controls
- Demonstrate strong understanding of SAP applications and components including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP GRC, SAP BPC, SAP Solution Manager, and SAP Security
- Apply experience with SAP ITGC and BPC frameworks, standards, and methodologies such as COBIT, COSO, and ITIL
- Show proficiency in SAP security concepts including user access management, segregation of duties, and role design
- Exhibit willingness to travel to client sites as required
