Job description
Every IT initiative in this organisation passes through an Architecture Review Board (ARB), and this senior engineer keeps that process running. Requests are reviewed, planning and alignment sessions coordinated with ARB members, compliance assessments conducted and decisions tracked. Behind the board sits the enterprise architecture itself, including the principles, models, standards, reference architectures, target architectures, capability models and technology roadmaps you develop and maintain. An architecture repository and EA tool hold all of this, kept current as business process, data, applications and technology change. Research is a regular thread, looking at emerging technologies and business technology investments and building use cases for adoption. New solutions are brought in through solution roadmaps and architectural blueprints so they fit cleanly with existing systems. Communicating the architecture framework and governance to stakeholders falls to you as well, along with guidance material for IT staff. Support for the section Head on Qatari personnel career development is part of the brief. Nine or more years in enterprise IT is expected, at least 4 of them in Enterprise Architecture practices and operations, and energy industry experience is an asset.
