Job description
As a Senior Manager at Grant Thornton UAE, you will play a pivotal role in shaping audit strategies alongside the Partner, managing a diverse client portfolio, and ensuring high-quality audit delivery in line with international standards. The role involves overseeing large, technically complex clients, driving business growth, mentoring Managers, Seniors, and Associates, and acting as a central point of contact for technical consultations. You will also lead on business development initiatives, client negotiations, and contribute to the operational running of the team while ensuring compliance with GT methodology, IFRS, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities
- Manage a key client portfolio and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Lead large, technically complex audit engagements
- Support Managers and Assistant Managers to maximize team performance
- Collaborate with leadership to drive business growth strategy
- Develop internal and external networks to support business development
- Support the Audit Partner in operational team management
- Negotiate client fees per engagement where appropriate
- Participate in the recruitment and interview process for new hires
- Oversee project financials including budgets, billing, and collections
- Ensure high-quality audit files and deliverables per GT methodology and standards
- Act as central contact for consultations on IFRS, audit tools, and staff training
- Lead and inspire team members, fostering professional development
Experience & skills
- 8+ years of External Audit experience with a top international firm
- Professional qualification: ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent
- Extensive post-qualification audit experience across industries
- Experience with large audits and complex groups
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards
- Proficiency with audit tools such as IDEA, Horizon, or Voyager
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Proven ability to manage audit project financials
- Experience in compliance and regulatory matters
- Passion for business development and strategic growth
- Proven leadership ability to inspire and develop people
