Job description
Department Manager | MAF LifeStyle | Operations role in Dubai for Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle, responsible for delivering excellent customer service by leading the team, monitoring and managing department operations, monitoring merchandising and stock control to achieve and exceed sales targets. Ensures store standards are maintained including cleanliness, tidiness, and replenishment; analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly sales data to maximize sales; leads the team in excellent customer service standards and enables exceptional customer experiences through understanding company/brand CX standards, individual customer needs, and awareness of current trends and competitors. Resolves customer complaints professionally and timely with escalation to management when necessary; ensures stock availability on the shop floor and arranges replenishment; liaises with management team to ensure team members receive regular training relevant to the brand, company and role; maintains a positive working culture amongst colleagues and management. Oversees cashing up process at beginning and end of business day including counting money, separating charge slips, vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits. Requirements include 3-4 yearsâ experience in furniture retail industry and expectations to promote collaboration across departments, ensure team targets are understood and met, lead discussions of new ideas, solicit customer feedback, and exceed customer expectations.

Experience & skills
- Have 3-4 years of experience in the furniture retail industry
- Be able to lead department operations including merchandising, stock control, replenishment, and shop floor stock availability management
- Be able to analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales data to maximize sales and achieve or exceed sales targets
- Be able to deliver customer service aligned with company and brand CX standards and resolve customer complaints with timely escalation when necessary
