Job description
The Lead Engineering Associate II – UAE National Only role is a direct staff position based in Abu Dhabi with hybrid working arrangement and significant regional travel, supporting process optimization initiatives across the Middle East. The role involves team and job shadowing assignments from study phase through design, implementation, documentation, delivery, and maintenance of process optimization solutions including APC, WFC, and BMA. The position applies chemical engineering principles such as heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and control theory to deliver advanced process optimization solutions for Oil & Gas, refinery, chemical, and minerals industries. The incumbent collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering teams, runs simulations, compiles and analyzes data, supports digital integrations, and communicates technical findings and business impact to internal and customer stakeholders. The role includes learning and applying software technologies for process optimization, supporting design specifications, quality assurance testing, customer acceptance, change management, training documentation, and ensuring quality delivery through structured testing artifacts. The position reports directly to the Engineering Manager for process optimization and is billable to external customer projects, with approximately 60% travel primarily across the Middle East region.
