Job description
Contractual and commercial oversight across buildings projects in Abu Dhabi falls to this Senior Commercial Manager role, working to FIDIC, NEC, or other standard forms of construction contracts throughout. You will manage and administer contracts, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing terms with clients, consultants, and contractors as projects move forward. Compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations stays a constant focus, alongside monitoring project budgets, costs, and financial performance. Claims, variations, and change orders get prepared and reviewed regularly, backed by risk assessments and mitigation strategies developed to keep projects on track. Commercial advice and support flow to project teams throughout delivery, while accurate records of contracts, payments, and correspondence get maintained along the way. Engineers, project managers, and stakeholders collaborate closely to resolve disputes as they arise. Reports on commercial performance and contractual issues go to senior management on a regular basis, and timely invoicing, payment collection, and financial reporting round out the role's day-to-day responsibilities.
