Job description
Roughly 45 kilometers southwest of Riyadh, a flagship giga-project is taking shape as the Kingdom's future capital of entertainment, sports, and culture, and this Director, Water Management role sits at the center of its water asset portfolio. You provide strategic leadership across water infrastructure, networks, systems, services, and commercial arrangements, making sure each is planned, governed, and optimised throughout its lifecycle. Potable water, irrigation, wastewater, treated sewage effluent, stormwater, and water reuse systems all fall under this remit, alongside a mandate to promote water conservation, resource efficiency, and digital enablement. Long-term strategies, lifecycle investment plans, performance frameworks, regulatory assurance, and asset management standards get built here to support safe, reliable, resilient, and cost-effective water services. Everything ties back to the city's asset management framework, sustainability objectives, Saudi regulations, Vision 2030 priorities, and global best practice. You lead the governance, operating model, and performance framework for the city-wide water portfolio, while driving conservation, reuse, demand management, leakage reduction, and carbon reduction initiatives in line with ESG objectives. Asset information, digital systems, smart metering, network monitoring, data governance, and performance dashboards get established to support informed decision-making across the portfolio. Health, safety, quality, and environmental management sit alongside commercial and procurement governance, covering contracts, KPIs, SLAs, tariff considerations, budgeting, and lifecycle cost optimisation.
