Job description
The Sales Manager will join Checkout.com’s Commercial Team in Riyadh to drive revenue growth and expand market share across key verticals in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on acquiring enterprise eCommerce merchants and promoting innovative cross-border payment solutions in a competitive, high-growth fintech environment. The successful candidate will manage full-cycle enterprise sales, from prospecting and pipeline development to negotiation and closing, while collaborating closely with internal technology, product, and business teams. This role offers strong earning potential through an uncapped recurring commission model and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a leading global digital payments provider.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Identify, target, and develop high-potential enterprise merchants and strategic prospects across multiple industries to build and maintain a strong and sustainable sales pipeline in Saudi Arabia.
- Drive full-cycle enterprise sales processes, including prospecting through cold calling, networking events, industry fairs, and referrals, while maintaining high conversion rates and consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Promote and sell cross-border payment solutions and value-added services to eCommerce merchants, clearly articulating Checkout.com’s differentiated capabilities and competitive advantages.
- Lead in-depth discovery conversations with prospective merchants, addressing technical, operational, and commercial questions while aligning solutions with client business objectives.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, commercial proposals, and tailored business cases that effectively demonstrate return on investment and strategic value.
- Orchestrate the entire sales lifecycle by acting as the primary point of contact for merchants and coordinating closely with internal stakeholders across product, technology, risk, and operations teams.
- Maintain a structured and well-organized portfolio of prospects and key accounts using Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with fellow Sales Managers to exchange best practices, share market intelligence, and refine sales strategies to strengthen regional performance.
- Provide structured feedback to leadership on market dynamics, competitor activities, customer needs, and product enhancement opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 6 years of enterprise sales experience, preferably within the payments, fintech, or financial services sector, with a demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets.
- Established network of enterprise prospects, partners, and decision-makers within Saudi Arabia, particularly within the eCommerce and digital commerce ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of digital payments, cross-border transaction solutions, and the broader fintech landscape, with the ability to position complex technical products effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce CRM, including pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand financial drivers, pricing structures, and revenue models in a high-growth environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and closing skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex sales cycles.
- Highly organized and self-driven, capable of managing multiple concurrent sales cycles and shifting priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Technologically savvy with a passion for innovation and digital solutions, and the ability to quickly understand and communicate product capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field; demonstrated commitment to continuous professional growth in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
