Job description
Kuwait's compliance function gets built from scratch under this Senior Manager, Compliance role at Tabby, rather than inherited from an existing setup. You act as the principal contact with the Central Bank of Kuwait, owning the CBK relationship across correspondence, inspections, information requests and supervisory dialogue. The compliance workstream of Tabby's CBK registration and licensing programme runs through this role, alongside building the Kuwait compliance framework itself, covering policies, controls, monitoring plan and risk assessments. As MLRO, the AML/CFT programme falls fully under this role, including STR filing, CDD, sanctions screening and transaction monitoring. Consumer protection stays part of the remit as well, with the BNPL framework maintained across dispute resolution, fee transparency and complaint handling. Regulatory change gets tracked continuously, with business impact assessed and implementation driven alongside the relevant owners. You prepare compliance reporting for the CBK and papers for the audit and risk committees, while conducting regular compliance assessments and audits to flag potential non-compliance and recommend corrective action. Strategic guidance goes out to departments across the business on compliance matters, and compliance processes get designed and rolled out using technology and new approaches to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
