Job description
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the pipe department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures. Having health and safety as the first priority in daily activities. Reviews, approves and follows up project programmes and takes appropriate measures where required for contractual delivery of projects. Researches and develops new work techniques and technologies related to pipe fabrication and welding, including improvement of documentation process flow for the department. Receives and executes work-related instructions from the Department Manager and substitutes in their absence when appointed. Defines daily work process priorities and liaises with other trades, ship repair managers, and superintendents to ensure smooth project workflow. Inspects department worksites and onboard areas to optimize resource usage. Raises Occurrence Reports, approves repair methods for rejected work, approves material requisitions, and halts processes if quality standards are not met.

- Stop processes if quality standards are not met
Experience & skills
- Graduate in Engineering discipline
- 10 years shipyard/offshore experience related to piping
- Awareness of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001
- Completion of Appreciation and Interpretation Courses for quality systems
