Job description
The Managing Consultant - Services Business Development (UAE & Oman) at Mastercard is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of Mastercardās Data & Services (D&S) offerings across key clients in the UAE and Oman markets. This senior-level role combines consultative sales, strategic relationship management, and account ownership to deliver data-driven, analytics-based solutions that help clients optimize their business performance. The position focuses on Mastercardās cutting-edge suite of consulting services, including predictive analytics, data products, risk management, and loyalty and marketing programs. The Managing Consultant acts as the face of Mastercardās Services team to C-level stakeholders across financial institutions, fintechs, acquirers, and retailers, crafting tailored value propositions and ensuring alignment with client needs. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies, coordinating with internal teams (Demand Generation, Marketing, Solutions, and Product), leading end-to-end sales cycles, and ensuring seamless delivery through collaboration with Client Services teams. This position demands a strong commercial drive, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in simple and compelling ways. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in consultative sales, a deep understanding of analytics or data products, and a track record of establishing and monetizing senior-level client relationships across diverse industry sectors.

Key responsibilities
- Drive business development for Mastercardās Data & Services portfolio across UAE and Oman.
- Take ownership of client accounts with direct responsibility for revenue generation and sales performance.
- Serve as the senior client-facing representative for Mastercard D&S, engaging with C-level stakeholders.
- Refine and tailor the value proposition of new and existing Mastercard D&S capabilities to address specific client needs.
- Coordinate across internal functions including Demand Generation, Marketing, Solutions, and Product teams to ensure alignment and efficient delivery.
- Lead the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through contract execution, ensuring seamless processes and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Mastercard account teams to align business development activities with broader client strategies and market objectives.
- Partner with Client Services teams to ensure successful solution implementation and long-term client value delivery.
- Identify new business opportunities through strong market understanding, relationship-building, and consultative engagement.
- Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor to clients, demonstrating deep expertise in data-driven and analytic solutions.
- Contribute to Mastercardās regional business growth through proactive client engagement, pipeline management, and innovation-driven sales execution.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree required; Masterās or MBA preferred.
- Experience in consulting sales across data products, analytics, or software platforms.
- Prior experience in consultative selling to financial institutions, fintechs, acquirers, or retail clients.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to build and monetize senior client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to drive end-to-end sales processes, from prospecting to contract closure.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience generating new business opportunities and managing complex client relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for executive audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and global teams.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language proficiency preferred.
- Willingness to travel across UAE and Oman to meet client and business needs.
- High level of integrity and compliance with Mastercardās security and information protection policies.
