The PMC Senior Admin Officer (UAE National) role based in Abu Dhabi supports Project Management Consultancy (PMC) activities within the Energy and Materials markets, delivering engineering services, maintenance and operations support, asset management, modifications, and engineering solutions to high profile clients across the Energy Sector. The role contributes to designing the future and transforming the world by supporting diverse and challenging projects across the Middle East and Africa region as part of a broader strategy building partnerships in the UK, Norway, and the Middle East and Africa. The position requires graduate-level understanding of engineering principles including design methodologies, technical calculations, and industry standards, with the ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply complex technical information relevant to the engineering discipline. The incumbent effectively translates engineering theory into practical applications across project tasks and deliverables, applies standards, processes, and procedures competently in day-to-day engineering work, and maintains knowledge of regulatory frameworks and associated legislation impacting engineering projects. The role involves executing assigned tasks confidently within the discipline ensuring quality and compliance, interpreting technical data to suggest optimized design solutions for functional and cost-effective results, recognizing and adhering to internal policies and procedures influencing project execution, and preparing clear, accurate, and comprehensive written communications, reports, and documentation. The position requires strong general computer literacy and familiarity with specialist engineering software tools. Key responsibilities
- Perform and oversee administrative functions at a graduate level within the PMC framework, ensuring that all documentation, correspondence, and project support activities align with engineering standards, engineering processes, engineering procedures, and internal policy compliance requirements.
- Comprehend, interpret, and apply complex technical information relevant to the engineering discipline, translate engineering principles including design methodologies and technical calculations into practical applications across project tasks and deliverables, and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory framework requirements impacting engineering projects.
- Execute assigned tasks confidently within the discipline, maintain graduate-level competence in applying standards, processes, and procedures in day-to-day work execution, and support asset management, maintenance and operations, modifications, and engineering services across Energy Sector projects.
- Interpret technical data and documentation to suggest optimized design solutions that enhance functionality and cost-efficiency, ensure legislation compliance, and support quality outcomes in line with regulatory frameworks and associated legislation.
- Prepare clear, accurate, comprehensive written communications, technical report writing outputs, and project documentation, ensuring all records are complete, traceable, and compliant with internal policies and procedures influencing project and task execution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulatory frameworks, legislation, and technology developments within the discipline area, and apply this knowledge to improve administrative and engineering support effectiveness.
- Utilize general computer literacy and specialist engineering software tools to support engineering documentation preparation, data interpretation, project tracking, and compliance monitoring activities within the PMC environment.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering or a related discipline and demonstrate strong understanding of administrative functions within a Project Management Consultancy (PMC), engineering services, or Energy Sector environment.
- Exhibit graduate-level understanding of engineering principles including design methodologies, technical calculations, industry standards, regulatory framework, and associated legislation, with proven ability to apply engineering standards, processes, and procedures in practical work execution.
- Demonstrate the capability to comprehend, interpret, and prepare applicable technical information, analyze technical data, and recommend design optimization adjustments to achieve functional and cost-effective results while ensuring full legislation compliance and policy compliance.
- Show solid knowledge of industry standards and regulations affecting engineering projects, maintain awareness of internal policies and procedures influencing job assignments, and ensure all deliverables comply with applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Possess strong general computer literacy and basic familiarity with specialist engineering software, with the ability to produce accurate technical report writing outputs, documentation preparation, and project documentation supporting maintenance and operations, asset management, and engineering services.
- Demonstrate effective time management to meet project deadlines, ability to manage multiple administrative and engineering support tasks in a fast-paced environment, and preferably hold internship or relevant project experience within engineering or energy-related projects.
