The role involves prospecting and onboarding new-to-bank clients, managing high-value relationships with Chinese and Singapore-based corporates, and originating cross-border transactions in coordination with the Greater China Team based in Hong Kong. The Director will act as a senior ambassador for Mashreq Bank, promoting its corporate and investment banking capabilities across trade finance, lending, cash management, and other financial products. This leadership position demands deep expertise in credit risk management, deal structuring, and client relationship development, ensuring that all activities align with Mashreq’s strategic growth objectives and risk acceptance criteria. The incumbent will oversee the entire credit process from proposal preparation to client onboarding while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams across product, risk, and operations. A key focus will be optimizing risk-adjusted returns on capital, maximizing profitability, and ensuring full compliance with operational and regulatory standards. The role requires fluency in Mandarin and English, strong analytical and commercial acumen, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.
