The Chief Accountant (Hospitality Finance Operations) at Riviera Rayhaan by Rotana in Doha, Qatar is responsible for overseeing the financial activities and accounting operations within the hotel property. Operating within the hospitality and hotel management sector, the role ensures the accurate management of financial records, preparation of financial statements and financial reports, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Chief Accountant supervises the daily operations of the accounting department, monitors financial transactions, and ensures accurate recording and reporting of financial data. The position involves developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to strengthen financial governance and operational efficiency. The role also manages financial audits and tax filing processes, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and compliance requirements. In addition to operational oversight, the Chief Accountant analyzes financial data, prepares detailed financial reports, and presents financial findings and performance insights to management to support decision-making. The role requires proficiency in accounting software and the MS Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, to generate accurate financial statements, maintain financial records, and produce comprehensive financial reports. The Chief Accountant also supervises a team of accountants, providing training, guidance, and oversight to ensure consistent financial management practices within the department. By maintaining strong financial controls, monitoring transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, the position plays a key role in supporting the financial stability and operational transparency of the hospitality property.
