Job description
The Data Engineer at DP World will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data architecture and scalable data solutions. The role involves designing, constructing, and maintaining large-scale processing systems and pipelines while ensuring adherence to data governance and quality best practices. This position will also support query optimization, system monitoring, and collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to enable data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities
- Support the Director in building and maintaining robust data architecture and solutions
- Design, construct, install, and maintain large-scale processing systems and data pipelines
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from a wide variety of sources
- Implement data governance and data quality best practices
- Assist in optimizing query performance and monitoring system health
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams for data enablement
- Document data processes and system designs for transparency and scalability
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Master’s in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or data infrastructure roles
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling
- Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, or Apache NiFi
- Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with data warehousing tools such as Snowflake or Redshift
- Proficiency in Python or Scala for data engineering tasks
- Understanding of CI/CD practices in data workflows
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect
