Job description
The Product Specialist ā Oncology at AstraZeneca is responsible for generating demand for the BGG franchise, primarily focusing on the Lynparza and Truqap brands. This role involves strategic account development, stakeholder engagement within the MDT and DMU, and strong field presence (90%). The specialist drives sales, ensures product knowledge dissemination, and promotes on-label use of oncology treatments, while aligning with AstraZenecaās compliance and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities
- Identify opportunities and strategies to improve the positioning of Lynparza ā Truqap at a local level.
- Work with Franchise Manager to develop a local strategy and business plan to meet targets.
- Engage Medical Oncologists and the MDT on product indications, efficacy, safety, and treatment protocols.
- Establish long-term collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- Share stakeholder insights internally to influence marketing and sales efforts.
- Build knowledge and understanding of the value proposition of Lynparza ā Truqap across MDT and DMU.
- Conduct science-based discussions with HCPs as per approved indications of Enhertu.
- Arrange multidisciplinary workshops for healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate speaker programs with KOLs and physician advocates.
- Drive sales performance and ensure forecast goals are met within assigned budgets.
- Promote Enhertu using balanced messaging and appropriate tools.
- Ensure product use aligns with national/local guidelines and licenses.
- Complete all training requirements and product exams.
- Comply with regulations and internal policies while adhering to AZ Code of Ethics.
- Report health/environment/wellbeing incidents, adverse events, and conflicts of interest as per procedures.
Experience & skills
- 2+ years of sales experience with a sound knowledge of account management.
- Proven ability to influence decision-makers in complex stakeholder environments.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Patient centricity and strong customer value orientation.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the decision-making unit.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Healthcare bachelor's degree required.
- Oncology or specialty care experience is desirable.
- Key account management expertise is a plus.
