Job description
The Project Engineer (Integrated Security Systems) at DP World serves as the We One representative responsible for implementing security systems across diverse projects and ensuring all solutions meet defined functional specifications. The role requires overseeing security solution project execution, coordinating closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and the We One office to maintain alignment across technical interfaces and prevent discrepancies. Responsibilities include defining functional specifications, preparing and reviewing project drawings, supporting site coordination, conducting site surveys, generating assessment reports, developing risk assessments, planning security and IT requirements, implementing monitoring systems, identifying training and equipment needs, and ensuring comprehensive documentation. The role involves maintaining clear communications with stakeholders, preparing agendas and meeting documentation, and safeguarding We Oneās interests on all projects. Project monitoring includes tracking progress, reporting daily/weekly/monthly updates, identifying risks, proposing corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to standards, specifications, and quality requirements. The position requires managing integrated security system projects such as CCTV, access control, and emerging technologies, conducting spot checks for quality control, planning workshops, and managing complex security engineering projects professionally and efficiently.

Key responsibilities
- Act as the We One representative during implementation of security systems
- Define functional specifications for security solution projects in coordination with clients
- Maintain communication regarding technical interfaces with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors
- Liaise with project personnel responsible for implementation and coordinate with the We One office on proposals and updates
- Prepare and review all project drawings and oversee site coordination activities
- Manage project-related issues professionally and maintain a complaint-free environment
- Serve as the key point of contact for all project-related communication
- Conduct site surveys, prepare assessment reports, and recommend suitable security solutions
- Perform follow-ups and spot checks on ongoing activities to ensure quality control
- Develop and maintain monitoring systems and follow-up indicators aligned with project logs
- Coordinate with clients for risk assessments and planning to determine security and IT requirements
- Prepare reports for the We One office and plan workshops with clients and stakeholders
- Identify training, equipment, and support needs and coordinate required arrangements
- Foster strong relationships with clients built on trust and cooperation
- Maintain professional written and verbal communication with managers, peers, and subordinates
- Coordinate technical meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure proper documentation
- Safeguard We Oneās interests across all assigned projects
- Oversee all phases of project execution to ensure compliance with standards and specifications
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly project reports to the We One office and clients
- Track project progress, identify risks, propose corrective actions, and ensure timely completion
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager and participate in internal meetings
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorās Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or IT Engineering
- PMP certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in security engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in designing and managing integrated security system projects
- Offshore experience is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, and integrated security technologies with awareness of emerging trends
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects effectively and professionally
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and reporting skills
