Job description
The Service Sales Manager – Central Region at ABB is responsible for leading and developing the Service Sales team in Riyadh to exceed service sales targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction within the electrical systems services market. Reporting to the Marketing and Sales Manager – KSA and Bahrain, the role focuses on driving service sales growth through Installed Base (IB) penetration, lifecycle management (LCM) solutions, and promotion of value-added service offerings across ABB’s service portfolio, including product care, modernization, and advisory services. The position involves collaborating with business and account teams, analyzing IB potential, identifying new service sales opportunities from emerging trends, and ensuring the effective use of CRM platforms such as Salesforce. The role ensures compliance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines while supporting customers with a first-time-right approach. The manager is accountable for service sales strategy creation and execution, team coaching, negotiation of major contracts, monitoring client financial risk, market analysis, competitor intelligence, customer relationship management, and achieving service sales volume targets across MV/LV electrical systems. Fluency in English and Arabic and strong expertise in electrical systems services sales are essential to support ABB’s sustainability, reliability, and operational efficiency goals.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Service Sales team to exceed service sales targets and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Create, plan, and implement service sales strategy focused on Installed Base penetration using the IB database
- Collaborate with service sales, business, and account teams to identify service sales leads and position service offerings
- Drive sales efficiency by ensuring Service Sales team members possess adequate selling skills
- Organize, staff, skill, and direct the Service Sales team effectively within the assigned area of responsibility
- Coach the team on sales planning, negotiation, and customer segment expertise
- Promote value-added service product offerings supporting lifecycle management
- Provide feedback on sales development, resource distribution, and report current market status
- Monitor client financial status and report risk-related changes to internal stakeholders
- Achieve service sales volume by ensuring the full service portfolio is sold
- Participate in negotiations of major contracts to secure service sales volume
- Set, review, and achieve service sales targets through cost-effective customer solutions and improvement plans
- Analyze service market potential with a focus on Installed Base penetration and customer relationship management
- Evaluate and share Installed Base data, sales leads, competitor solutions, and marketing trends with the team
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and decision makers
- Ensure customer satisfaction issues are registered and addressed by the team
- Support sales activities directly when required and demonstrate one ABB approach across teams
Experience & skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical systems services sales and solutions
- At least 2 years of experience managing and leading sales professionals
- Strong expertise in Installed Base management, lifecycle management solutions, and MV/LV electrical systems market
- Enhanced knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proven track record in achieving service sales targets and managing high-performance sales teams
- Experience selling service portfolios, maintenance contracts, and customer lifecycle solutions
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships and lead strategic sales planning initiatives
