Job description
The Fulfillment & Logistics Senior Manager β KSA role at Opontia is a senior operational leadership position responsible for developing, managing, and scaling end-to-end fulfillment and logistics operations in Saudi Arabia for a digital-first consumer goods and e-commerce group. Based in Riyadh, the role covers e-storage, order fulfilment, marketplace replenishment, last mile delivery, and reverse logistics, while playing a critical role in the operational integration of newly acquired e-commerce brands within the Saudi market. The position involves identifying, onboarding, and managing logistics, storage, and last-mile partners; establishing and enforcing SOPs and SLAs across internal and external stakeholders; and ensuring compliance across online marketplaces, direct-to-consumer websites, social commerce channels, and B2B operations. The Senior Manager is accountable for governance, operational strategy assessments including SWOT and cost-benefit analysis, continuous efficiency and productivity improvements, and the delivery of key performance metrics such as SLA fulfillment percentage, on-promise attempts, delivery performance, lead time, customer return rate, and fulfillment and logistics NPS. The role includes maintaining real-time operational reporting, conducting functional due diligence on potential brand acquisitions, leading the seamless integration of acquired brands to avoid disruption to sales and customer experience, managing freight tenders, overseeing 3PL and 4PL partners, and hiring, managing, and coaching fulfillment and logistics teams in a fast-paced, high-growth e-commerce environment.

Key responsibilities
- Identify, assess, onboard, and manage partners for storage, fulfillment, and last-mile logistics operations across Saudi Arabia
- Develop, improve, and enforce SOPs and SLAs with internal and external stakeholders supporting online marketplaces, own websites, social commerce, and B2B sales channels
- Drive internal and external operational governance frameworks aligned with fulfillment and logistics requirements
- Conduct functional SWOT analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and other operational strategy assessments to inform decision-making
- Continuously challenge existing processes and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity across fulfillment and logistics operations
- Ensure and improve performance across SLA fulfillment percentage, on-promise attempts, delivery percentage, lead time, customer return rate, fulfillment and logistics NPS, and other KPIs
- Maintain, validate, and enhance functional reporting to provide real-time operational trends and performance insights
- Conduct functional due diligence of potential e-commerce brand acquisitions, assessing operational complexity and cost structures
- Lead the operational integration of newly acquired brands into Opontiaβs fulfillment and logistics setup without disrupting sales or customer experience
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with Acquisitions, Brand Management, Technology, and Finance teams
- Hire, manage, coach, and develop fulfillment and logistics executive talent
- Conduct staff performance reviews and manage ongoing team performance
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate a track record of building, growing, and managing fulfillment and logistics operations for e-commerce brands, e-commerce platforms, or logistics companies specialised in e-commerce
- Possess 7β10 years of experience in logistics and 2β5 years of experience in e-commerce operations
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of e-fulfillment and last-mile operations within Saudi Arabia, with experience across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa considered a plus
- Show experience with tender management for freight and logistics requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience managing freight operations and 3PL and 4PL logistics providers
- Exhibit strong project management, planning, and organizational capabilities in fast-paced, multi-project environments
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize time and manage business relationships effectively
- Be fluent in both Arabic and English
