Job description
The Senior Compliance Engineer is responsible for developing new solutions, installing, configuring, and managing infrastructure for applications under the Sanctions and Screening portfolio with strong experience across all FircoSoft application components including Firco Trust, Firco Continuity, FSK, TCMAPI, and Firco Utilities. The role involves providing technical support across design, build, security, and infrastructure domains to evaluate and configure FircoSoft deployments and ongoing support. The position requires hands-on involvement in software systems development life cycle (SDLC) processes, infrastructure configuration, deployment, and operational support. The Senior Compliance Engineer works on implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and job scheduling tools while managing integrations using IBM MQ and WebSphere. The role requires experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Angular, and AWS for application development and deployment. The position includes strong Unix Shell Scripting capabilities for automation, operational tasks, and troubleshooting. The role also involves debugging and troubleshooting complex issues within the sanctions and screening applications environment. Exposure to Agile methodology is considered beneficial. The Senior Compliance Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring application stability, security, and performance within compliance-focused financial environments. The position requires coordination with technical teams, infrastructure teams, and compliance stakeholders to ensure proper implementation and operational efficiency across the FircoSoft ecosystem.

Key responsibilities
- Develop new solutions and manage infrastructure for applications within the Sanctions and Screening portfolio using FircoSoft components including Firco Trust, Firco Continuity, FSK, TCMAPI, and Firco Utilities
- Install, configure, and support FircoSoft deployments while providing technical support across design, build, security, and infrastructure domains
- Manage software systems development life cycle (SDLC) activities including development, deployment, and production support
- Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and infrastructure management processes
- Configure and manage job scheduling tools and integrations using IBM MQ and WebSphere environments
- Support application development and enhancements using Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Angular, and AWS technologies
- Develop automation scripts using Unix Shell Scripting and perform debugging and troubleshooting of technical issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodology to ensure delivery of scalable and secure compliance solutions
- Provide technical support, configuration, and optimisation of FircoSoft applications to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance
Experience & skills
- Hold Bachelor or Master degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience in software engineering or infrastructure environments
- Demonstrate minimum 8+ years of experience in software systems development life cycle (SDLC) including development, deployment, and support of enterprise applications
- Demonstrate strong hands-on experience in FircoSoft components including Firco Trust, Firco Continuity, FSK, TCMAPI, and Firco Utilities within sanctions and screening environments
- Demonstrate working experience with Firco Case Manager API including integration and configuration within compliance systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation strategies
- Demonstrate experience working with job scheduling tools, IBM MQ, and WebSphere for enterprise application integration and operations
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Angular, and AWS for development and deployment activities
- Demonstrate strong expertise in Unix Shell Scripting including automation, debugging, and troubleshooting within production environments
- Demonstrate exposure to Agile methodology and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in compliance-driven technology environments
