Job description
The Portfolio Optimization Relationship Manager at Citi Commercial Banking (Dubai) is a strategic role responsible for managing client relationships, optimizing portfolio performance, and driving business growth. This position focuses on understanding clientsā needs, delivering tailored solutions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The role requires a proactive approach to client engagement, cross-team collaboration, and the implementation of innovative strategies to enhance Citiās commercial banking offerings.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Engage with clients to manage relationships, anticipate needs, and address potential risks or roadblocks.
- Partner with teams across Commercial Banking (CCB), Retail Banking (RBB), and other units to assess clients within target markets.
- Maximize client experience by proactively sharing market updates, trends, and intelligence relevant to client portfolios.
- Identify new business opportunities through networking and strategic client engagement.
- Support retention efforts and appropriate demarketing of clients, ensuring optimal portfolio performance.
- Drive innovation in client solutions, contributing to the expansion and enhancement of Citiās commercial offerings.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional client service and foster long-term profitable relationships.
- Execute strategic initiatives launched centrally and align actions with organizational objectives.
- Assess risk in business decisions, ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Ensure timely completion of KYC and other compliance deliverables to safeguard Citi, its clients, and assets.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline; Masterās preferred.
- 6ā10 years of relevant experience in commercial banking, client relationship management, or portfolio management.
- In-depth understanding of commercial banking operations and client portfolio management.
- Proven experience in client relationship building, sales, and financial analysis.
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and drive results.
