Job description
Large, manpower-intensive businesses often outgrow their HR set-up, and that is the situation at this Abu Dhabi trading, distribution and operational services organisation. The first task is a full review of workforce structure, HR processes, organisation design, payroll controls, employee data and existing policies. What follows is a rebuild, with new policies, procedures, frameworks and governance aligned to UAE labour regulations. Performance management, job grading, compensation frameworks and succession planning all need introducing in a structured way. On the operational side, you will tighten payroll, attendance, overtime and employee data controls and give leadership clearer HR reporting. Recruitment, employee relations, compliance and the wider employee lifecycle also sit with you, together with manpower planning and headcount management. Senior leadership will be close at hand, and there is real scope to drive cultural change. At least 7 years of progressive HR experience with significant leadership and implementation responsibility is required, and recent UAE experience, including UAE Labour Law, is essential. A Bachelor's degree plus CIPD, SHRM or an equivalent qualification completes the profile, and a background in retail, FMCG, wholesale, distribution, food trading or logistics will suit the role best.
