Job description
The Corporate Teller role in Dubai involves delivering quality teller services through accurate and efficient processing of branch counter transactions while projecting ADIBās professional image. The position handles cash deposits, cash withdrawals, drafts, telegraphic transfers, payment orders, standing orders, foreign currency purchase and sales, and cheque deposits in alignment with ADIB operational policies and procedures. It includes liaising with the Treasury department to obtain favorable rates for VIP and high net worth customers when centralized telegraphic transfers are involved. The role may also require serving Private Banking clients at dedicated counters and processing any new counter services introduced by ADIB. Responsibilities include cross-selling or identifying and referring product inquiries to Sales teams. General reconciliation and control activities include acting as one of the dual custodians for branch vault cash and security stationery, assisting the Head of Operations as second custodian, performing cash reconciliation and balancing tasks, end-of-day balancing, and maintaining filing records. The role requires understanding and processing centralized activities as part of the Branch Operations Centralization Projects. Required technical knowledge includes ADIB retail banking products and services, ADIB operational policies and procedures, UAE banking practices, regulations, risks, competitor awareness, Central Bank of UAE regulations, service standards, cross-sales knowledge, and computer skills. Minimum experience is two months of teller training or experience in a banking environment or ADIB Academy.

Key responsibilities
- Process teller counter transactions including cash deposits, cash withdrawals, drafts, telegraphic transfers, payment orders, standing orders, foreign currency purchase and sales, and cheque deposits in line with operational policies and procedures
- Liaise with the Treasury department to obtain best rates for VIP or high net worth customers when handling centralized telegraphic transfers
- Serve Private Banking customers at separate counters when required and process additional counter service transactions introduced by ADIB
- Cross sell or identify and refer product inquiries from prospective customers to Sales staff
- Act as one of the dual custodians for branch vault cash and security stationery
- Assist the Head of Operations as second custodian for dual control
- Perform cash reconciliation, cash balancing, and end-of-day balancing activities
- Maintain general filing and documentation related to teller operations
- Ensure proper understanding and processing of all centralized activities as per Branch Operations Centralization Projects
Experience & skills
