Job description
The Logistics Supervisor at Amazon Logistics oversees daily operations across AMZL (Amazon Logistics) and Fulfillment Center environments, managing teams of Operations Assistants, Delivery Service Providers, and Associates. The role ensures efficient workflow, operational excellence, and superior customer service. Responsibilities include labor allocation, leading meetings, assigning duties, and ensuring adherence to Amazonās Health and Safety standards. The Supervisor drives performance management by monitoring KPIs, performing root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions. The role requires continuous identification of process improvement opportunities, solving operational challenges, and implementing enhancements using analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration are critical, including reporting metrics, influencing decisions, managing external agencies, and coordinating across cross-functional teams. Supervisors utilize technology and tools to ensure smooth operations, support rollout of new systems, and maintain operational readiness while fostering a positive, high-performing team environment. The position emphasizes safety, performance, continuous improvement, and adherence to company standards in a fast-paced, dynamic logistics setting.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations within AMZL and Fulfillment Center environments, including allocation of labor, leading meetings, and assigning job duties
- Lead, train, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a motivating work environment and ensuring associate safety and adherence to Health and Safety standards
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identify root causes of performance issues, and implement effective solutions to drive operational improvements
- Identify process improvement opportunities, implement practical solutions, and streamline operational workflows without compromising quality or functionality
- Communicate daily metrics, report exceptions, and influence decisions through collaboration with cross-functional teams and external agencies
- Utilize software and hardware tools to support daily operations, coordinate repairs or replacements, and assist in rollout and implementation of new systems and processes
- Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities to make informed decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous operational environment
- Maintain subject matter expertise in core operational processes and act decisively to resolve challenges and ensure consistent performance
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts (AMZL)
- Strong team player with ability to motivate and develop others
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
- Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced operational environment
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
