The Business Sector Manager - Warehouse Operations within the Contract Logistics department at Al-Futtaim Automotive is responsible for crafting and overseeing the implementation of operational strategy and financial strategy to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness of supply chain operations across multiple clients. The role involves managing large-scale warehouse operations, ensuring contractual objectives are met, and developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to guarantee client satisfaction and exceed customer expectations. The position requires maintaining strict budgetary control over operational costs, managing manpower cost alignment with budgets, conducting process reviews, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Business Sector Manager collaborates closely with the General Manager to align departmental objectives with organizational strategy, oversees Operations Manager and Supervisors, and drives human resource development through training management, monitoring staff turnover, and enhancing operational excellence. The role also ensures compliance with health and safety compliance requirements, security policies, and internal procedures while managing operational, administrative, and system processes. The position operates within Al-Futtaim Automotive, a major automotive logistics and mobility solutions division of Al-Futtaim Group, which manages distribution, manufacturing, leasing, and aftersales operations across multiple global automotive brands including Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Volvo, and RAM, and delivers mobility solutions including passenger vehicles, SUVs, electric vehicles, commercial vehicles, motorbikes, and industrial and construction equipment across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage the overall operational strategy and financial strategy for Contract Logistics warehouse operations, ensuring cost-effective supply chain operations across all clients while maintaining full budgetary control, monitoring operational costs, aligning manpower costs with financial targets, and supporting the General Manager in aligning operational objectives with broader organizational strategy and business growth plans.
- Oversee large-scale warehouse operations across multiple clients by ensuring contractual objectives are achieved, monitoring operational performance, optimizing warehouse workflows, managing operational, administrative, and system processes, and ensuring consistent service delivery aligned with client expectations and contractual service level agreements.
- Establish, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) with clients and internal stakeholders to measure operational performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain service excellence, enhance client satisfaction, and ensure all operational metrics meet or exceed agreed targets across Contract Logistics operations.
- Conduct regular process reviews and operational audits to identify process gaps, update standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensure compliance with internal policies, improve operational efficiency, standardize workflows, and drive operational excellence across warehouse and supply chain functions.
- Lead, supervise, and develop direct reports including Operations Manager and Supervisors by setting performance objectives, monitoring operational output, managing training man-days, developing workforce capabilities, reducing staff turnover, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations.
- Control operational expenditure and manage cost optimization initiatives including manpower cost management, operational cost control, productivity improvements, resource allocation, and performance-based operational planning to ensure profitability and financial efficiency of warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety compliance standards, security policies, and internal operational procedures by implementing operational controls, conducting compliance monitoring, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring secure and safe warehouse operations across all client environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and senior leadership to support operational planning, business expansion, and service delivery improvements while ensuring alignment with Contract Logistics operational standards, maintaining service quality, and driving operational excellence initiatives.
Experience & skills
- Possess degree education with a basic understanding of financial figures and demonstrate ability to interpret financial data, manage operational budgets, monitor cost performance, and support financial planning within warehouse operations and contract logistics environments.
- Demonstrate minimum 3 years experience in large-scale warehousing operations including supply chain operations, warehouse management, contract logistics operations, operational cost control, manpower planning, and service delivery within multi-client environments.
- Exhibit hands-on experience managing operational, administrative, and system processes within warehouse operations including performance monitoring, process optimization, KPI management, SOP adherence, and operational compliance within logistics environments.
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities with experience supervising Operations Manager and Supervisors, managing warehouse teams, driving workforce productivity, developing training programs, managing training man-days, and reducing staff turnover.
- Show experience implementing key performance indicators (KPIs), conducting process reviews, updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and driving operational excellence initiatives within supply chain and warehouse operations.
- Demonstrate ability to manage operational costs, control manpower costs, align operational budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective supply chain operations within Contract Logistics environments.
- Possess experience ensuring health and safety compliance, security policies adherence, and operational procedure compliance within large-scale warehouse environments while maintaining safe and efficient operations.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational capabilities with hands-on experience in warehouse operations, contract logistics, supply chain operations, operational planning, and performance management within multi-client logistics environments.
