Executive Director, Relationship Manager role within Standard Chartered Private Banking in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, responsible for driving profitable growth from existing and new clients through proactive engagement, understanding client needs, and delivering the full range of Private Banking products. The role involves managing an assigned portfolio of high-value clients within Private Banking, deepening existing relationships, extending client relationships into new product areas, and improving client value contribution. The position includes generating target market prospects through innovative and sustainable channels, converting prospects into clients, retaining high-value clients, growing wallet share, cross-selling products and services, achieving risk-weighted returns, and delivering tailored investment solutions aligned with client investment profiles. Responsibilities include client acquisition, consultative selling of multiple products, referral generation, business profitability analysis, collaboration with product specialists, and operating within risk and compliance frameworks. The role requires monitoring performance against balanced scorecard metrics, achieving AUM growth, increasing product cross-holding ratio, acquiring new clients, improving revenue per customer, and enhancing customer satisfaction scores. The position also involves supporting operational efficiency improvements, managing operational risks, ensuring adherence to sales management and onboarding processes, overseeing RM resourcing and performance management, and addressing performance opportunities. Risk management responsibilities include understanding risk and control environments, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, resolving client queries, analyzing financial requirements, minimizing operational errors, reviewing AML transaction monitoring alerts, conducting periodic client reviews, attending mandatory compliance training, and raising STR for suspicious transactions. Governance responsibilities include adherence to regulatory frameworks, participation in committees, engagement with audit findings, and ensuring ethical conduct aligned with regulatory and business conduct standards. The role requires collaboration with key stakeholders including Market Head, Senior Client Partner, COO, Business Managers, Client Service Managers, Product Specialists, and front office colleagues, while demonstrating strong relationship management, financial markets knowledge, risk management, and regulatory compliance expertise within Private Banking.

- Drive profitable growth by managing assigned Private Banking client portfolio, deepening existing relationships, expanding product usage, and delivering tailored investment solutions aligned with client investment profiles
- Generate target market prospects, convert prospects into clients, retain high-value clients, and grow wallet share through relationship management and cross-selling of banking and investment products
- Solicit new-to-bank and new-to-product leads, conduct consultative selling, analyze potential business profitability, and collaborate with product specialists to deliver client solutions
- Monitor performance against balanced scorecard metrics including AUM growth, new client acquisition, revenue per customer, customer satisfaction, and product cross-holding ratios
- Support operational efficiency improvements, ensure adherence to onboarding and suitability processes, and manage operational risk within business activities
- Manage risk and compliance requirements including AML transaction monitoring, STR reporting, periodic client reviews, and mitigation of credit, legal, and reputational risks
- Participate in governance processes including regulatory compliance, audit findings resolution, committee participation, and adherence to bank policies and procedures
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Market Head, COO, Business Managers, Client Service Managers, Product Specialists, and front office teams to deliver client solutions
Experience & skills
- Hold relevant academic degree and professional qualifications required for Private Banking Relationship Manager role
- Demonstrate experience within Private Banking industry managing high-value client portfolios and investment solutions
- Demonstrate strong relationship management and client acquisition capabilities within financial services environment
- Possess sound knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and Private Banking solutions
- Demonstrate proven risk management capabilities and strong understanding of compliance frameworks
- Demonstrate familiarity with AML transaction monitoring, regulatory compliance, and governance processes
- Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills supporting executive-level client engagement
- Demonstrate fluency in business English and relevant licenses, certifications, or professional memberships as required
